Volunteer Procedures
Opportunities

Purpose:  To track from race to race driver’s volunteers and to make the volunteer system fair and equitable for all.

Procedure:  At the beginning of the race season from entries driver’s volunteers will be put in to the schedule. Not all drivers enter at the beginning of the year, but as they do they will be put on the schedule.  If a driver is on the schedule and can not make that race, it is up to him/her to find a driver that can change places.  Then notify the secretary or treasurer of the change.

The list will be posted on the web site under drivers and at each race.  In addition at each race, there will be a schedule that says what day, run, and where that the volunteer is scheduled to work.

The volunteer should be in place 10 minutes before the run, and report to the director in charge.  The director will then report to the secretary or treasurer the status of his/her volunteers.

Email any questions to Gesche at office@chcaracing.com

Have you ever wondered what it takes to run the race behind the scenes? Our Timing crew and Safety Network are part of the success of the race. These volunteers have an opportunity to see the race up close and personal, and the responsibility of providing accurate times and keeping the race course safe for the driver's and spectators.

If you would like to be part of these teams, contact Gesche for timing and Jeff for safety. You will receive training and special privledges along with the unique opportunity to work behind the scenes.

Come join the fun!
