Loss of our dear friend

Our Deepest Sympathy goes out to Linda Smith at the great loss of one of our best friends and drivers Carl "Rink" Smith. Rink passed away in his home Wednesday, September 3rd. Please keep Linda in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Rink was a long time Board member, driver, mentor, and friend to everyone in CHCA. We will miss his giving nature and positive spirit.

Viewing held at Mountain Memorial Funeral Services, located at 51 County Road 5 in Divide, Colorado (1 block north of hwy 24 and 67 left side of road). Sunday, September 7th from 4:00 - 7:00 PM Monday, September 8th from 10:00 AM to Noon	Celebration of Life will be held at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, located at 1050 S 21st St Colorado Springs, CO (Corner of 21st and Bott) Monday, September 8th at 2:00 PM

Make sure to locate Steve Bennet at the Gold Camp II race, he is taking up a collection for the Smith family. He will have some beautiful pictures of Rink available.

Another dear friend, Chad Swisher, passed away Saturday, August 30th suddenly in a car accident. Please keep Ed Swisher and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Gold Camp II Hill Climb :

This is the last race event of the season. Please join us in Victor, CO September 6th and 7th for the Gold Camp II Hill Climb race.

Practice/Qualifying Event Saturday, September 6th starting at 8:00 AM
Race Day Main Event Sunday, September 7th starting at 10:00 AM. Arrive early for the best parking spots, the road closes about 30 minutes prior to start.

Registration will be in the pit area at John and Trudy Wells' fifth wheel Friday Sep. 5th, 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Saturday Sep. 6th at 6:00 am.

Attention Driver's Reps.....You must submit your year end award sponsors to Vicki Keeney by September 6th. Jackets for top 3 are $60 each, $20 towards each plaque for those who made half the races, $50 for the Rookie of the Year award, $50 for the Record Time award in each class, and $100 Overall Champion award.
