Second Monarch Added In October!!

Although we weren’t able to race Temple Canyon in May, we have added a second Monarch to the schedule on October 1st and 2nd! The fall colors should be beautiful during that time and we’re looking forward to our events this season!

Lands End Farmer’s Market

For those of us going to the Grand Junction race “Lands End” there is a Farmers Market in downtown Grand Junction that gives organizations a set up spot for $40. Jimmy Ford has offered to set up a spot for all of the race vehicles who have entered that race, thank you Jimmy. Could we get a commitment on who could bring their race vehicles a day early to set up along side him? Time is from 5:30PM-8:30PM, Thursday August 5th. You should be there about 4:45PM for set up, maybe 4:30PM for longer and enclosed trailers. It is downtown and the streets maybe narrow. The area that the Farmers Market gave Jimmy and the rest of the race cars to assemble is on the north side of Main street at 5th and Main, Grand Junction, CO. Jimmy is going to bring his Bronco. He has commitments on one Quad, a Truck and another Sportsman vehicle that will be there. A Rally car has committed, as well as a UTV and Open Wheel. If we could get maybe two super sprint cars, another Rally Car, a Razor, two motorcycles, a Champ car or any of the other classes I’ve missed, plus unlimited, and if there is a Miata around that would be great!

That would give a nice presence to show the Grand Junction area what CHCA has to offer. Ginger is giving Jim, Sr. and Jenny Ford some wristbands to sell for an increase in our attendance income, if they don’t mind. CHCA would fall under the non-profit category at the event downtown. As Sister Sledge first released it in January of 1979 “We Are Family” lets be that and have a good turn out.

Thanks, Randy Hayes, Secretary CHCA

The information booth is located at 401 Main St. in Grand Junction in front of Hart Music.
