PPIR Event Postponed

Hello everyone,

After discussion with PPIR about the cost of the event and estimating the number of competitors we would need to make it a successful event and the competitors that have committed to the event, we have decided to postpone the event until next year where we can make it successful for the club.

Lastly, we are planning on discussing and getting a preliminary schedule together for the 2023 season. So, if anyone wants to have a say in how the schedule is formed, or has any information about the roads we race, or can provide any input, it is important that you attend the next monthly meeting on November 1st.

Reminder that the annual awards banquet is Saturday November 12th at the Colorado Springs Shrine Club.

Thanks for a great racing season everyone!

The points championships are close heading into the final race this weekend!

Okay CHCA race fans,

We have a couple of race classes where 2nd place is knotted up, ready for the final push on Saturday and Sunday, which is the way it should be. Open Wheel between Jerry Brady and Chip Griffith should be fun to watch. Both are at 143 pts, behind Spencer Steele.

The other race, in Competition Truck, features Joe Stewart and Jimmy Olson tied at 160 points for 2nd, behind Ryan Middleton (181 pts). In Stock Car, Dan Riner has a pretty good grip on 1st. Nate Swanson and Stephanie Guilfoil are in 2nd and 3rd, but Jimmy Ford is coming up fast to possibly grab one of those positions.

Rally AWD has Peter Zlamamy in 1st at 164 pts., with Janis Dancis breathing up his tailpipe at 162 pts. James Koch and Brad Ames are looking for them to make a mistake and grab the next position.

Pro-Quad. What can you say!!! Tyler Portillo (200 Pts. Perfect score) has not been beaten since he was 6 or 7 years old (just kidding) but has a good lead on Anthony Reed at 176 points. Levi Packard (156 pts, is in 3rd position.) Championship Car ends up with Kenny Brady taking in all the honors.

In Super Sprint, Owen Brady is going to be hard to catch at 193 points. The O’Maley brothers are putting their pedal down hard to reel him in, will it be enough? The Sportsman Class has Jimmy Ford in 1st with 100 pts. Joseph Adams and John Durmas are behind at 84 points and 81 points, respectively. Rally 2WD has Jeff Zwart grabbing a big lead before the final race with Dave and Allison Kern behind in figuring out the next best option in catching Jeff!

Motorcycles!!! Brady Dimmick (167 pts.), Mick Holloway (165 pts.), and Dylan Baer (156 pts.) all are within 11 pts of each other. Anything can happen out there. Good luck to those fine upstanding gentlemen. The Unlimited: Jimmy Olson has a 13-pt. lead on Spencer Steele. Should be a great race, with Chip Griffith, Jerry Brady, and Ryan Middleton looking for a piece of the action!!! Thank you, racers, for a fantastic season of thrills and spills!!!
