The second race of our season is set for this weekend!  Saturday, July 16 and Sunday, July 17.  Join us as we take on Horsepower Hill in Monarch, CO.

Location:

County Road 228, Garfield, CO.  About a 1/4 mile East of Monarch Mountain Lodge.

Tickets:

$12 at the gate, this gets you in both days!  12 and under are always FREE.

Schedule:

Saturday:  Practice and qualifying.  Gates open to the public at 6am. Racing starts at 8am.

Sunday: Race Day.  Gates open to the public at 8am.  Racing starts at 10am.

New Fan? Make sure you plan to stay the entire day on the course. Bring food, drinks, chairs, sunscreen, and extra clothing. You will park off the road in a safe place. Once the racing begins, the road is closed! You may move only if Race Control approves – if unsure STAY PUT!

2016 TEMPLE CANYON RESCHEDULE. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE.

As you all know we unfortunately had to postpone our 25th Annual Temple Canyon Hill Climb from our original planned date due to the weather. We are happy to announce the reschedule will take place on May 20th, 21st and 22nd. These dates were originally scheduled for CORE #1. CORE #1 will be moved to a new date not yet determined. We will be discussing that at our meeting tomorrow night, Tuesday, May 3rd.

Everything on the new dates for Temple Canyon will still be scheduled as originally planned. Our 3rd Annual Racer’s Meet will still be from 5pm until 8pm at the Neon Bottle on Friday, May 20th. Saturday and Sunday we race. If you have already bought pre sale race tickets, they are still valid for the new dates. Pre sale race tickets are still on sale at the Neon Bottle and Jim’s Tire in Canon City. We are very sorry the weather did not cooperate and we were forced to reschedule. We hope to see all of you on a much safer and sunnier weekend!

UPDATE: TEMPLE CANYON IS CANCELED FOR THIS WEEKEND. We are very sorry to announce that we will not be able to run the race this weekend. We will be working on the reschedule to May 13, 14 & 15. This will be tentative until we can confirm everything. Sorry folks. Colorado weather won this one.

This years annual tech inspection has been postponed a week due to the snow storm coming in.  There will be no late fees if you enter for Temple Canyon at tech.  It will be held on Saturday, April 23rd from 9am till 3pm. The location is at Colorado Springs Dodge, we will have food for lunch available along with some CHCA Swag. So bring your race car out and have it teched before Temple Canyon and be ready for the first race of the year April 30th.

Friday, April 29th is the 3rd Annual Racer’s Meet presented by Imagine Media on Main Street in Canon City!

This event is to promote the 25th Annual Temple Canyon Hill Climb! We will have some of the race cars that will be racing that weekend on display from 5pm-8pm at the The Neon Bottle at Kates (331 Main Street). Come check out the cars up close and personal and meet the drivers! This event is FREE and open to all ages (21+ to drink). Come down and support the CHCA and help us kick off the season opening race!

This will be the first day of a three day racing event in Canon City! Be sure to join us for our 25th Anniversary in Temple Canyon and support your favorite drivers starting on April 30th!!!

The Neon Bottle will be selling pre sale race tickets at this event! Tickets will be good for Saturday AND Sunday for only $10 or $12 at the gate! Check out the official Facebook event for the race in Temple Canyon on our page for more details!

If you are interested in having your car on display, please get in contact with the CHCA or Devon AfroThunder of Imagine Media!! Space is limited so the sooner you confirm a spot the better! If you plan on having a car set up for the event, be sure to have it parked and ready by 5pm sharp! Once parked, your car must remain parked until at least 8pm! There will be areas to park haulers and trailers. Please contact us with any questions or concerns you may have!
